Our Local Legend’s

South Lakes High School has been and continues to be, committed to the belief that student athletics complement the academic program and are an integral component of the total educational process and that both sport and sportsmanship enhance student character. This belief has been realized by supportive administrators, dedicated coaches, gifted athletes, and committed members of the greater South Lakes community.

The Sports Hall of Fame was created to recognize the most outstanding of these individuals and to honor their contributions through the Hall of Fame Scholarship Program.

Categories For Nomination:

COMPETITORS:

• A person who has experienced outstanding achievement as a competitor in a varsity sport while enrolled at South Lakes High School. A competitor is eligible for membership at least 10 years after the competition ends.

COACH:

• A person who has experienced outstanding achievement as a coach while engaged in coaching at South Lakes High School. A coach is eligible for membership after a minimum of 5 years of coaching or a combination of coaching and administration at the high school level and is no longer an active coach at SLHS.

ADMINISTRATOR:

• A person whose administrative experiences have resulted in outstanding achievements, accomplishments, or contributions in ways relating to athletic or sports excellence while serving as an administrator at South Lakes High School. An administrator is eligible for membership after a minimum of ten years as a high school administrator or a combination of administration and coaching at the high school level and is no longer serving in the capacity in which he/she was nominated.

CONTRIBUTOR:

• Any person whose activities as a game official, school supporter, or
• contribution to activities have resulted in a service qualified as outstanding or excellent. Such a person is eligible for membership after a minimum of 10 years of service.

Only nominees that meet the above criteria will be considered for selection
into the Hall of Fame

Only those achievements and accomplishments related to high school
athletics will be used in determining selections.
